What we've done
CO2NET®, the Carbon Dioxide Capture and Geological Storage (CCS) Network promoted CO2 projects and integrated both the CO2 capture and storage communities’ activities to work together to accelerate enabling technologies towards CO2 emissions reduction through CCS. This is achieved by avoiding duplication of effort and identifying gaps in the technology to give a clear way forward and an integrated turnkey solution for CCS demonstration and commercialisation.
- Since its start up in November 2000, CO2NET® has been effective in promoting the sharing of carbon capture and storage (CCS) knowledge and in fast-tracking CCS technology.
- CO2NET® has successfully brokered a number of new projects to fill gaps in Research Development and Demonstration and is commonly regarded as the "Virtual Centre of Excellence" for CO2 related expertise and information.
- CO2NET®'s Annual Seminar is recognised as the primary CO2 event for cross border collaboration and knowledge transfer within the CCS environment.
- Network Members have collectively authored several content-rich technical publications, a university course in CCS and set the standards for CCS research and development.
- Network Members have collectively authored a highly acclaimed public information brochure.
